If you know me, you know that I’ve made some big changes this year. Both personally and professionally, 2023 has been nothing short of a whirlwind!

As I reflected on this year as a prenatal and pediatric chiropractor, I discovered some things that I really wanted to share with you, my people.

First, I want to start out by saying, that I could not be more blessed with all of the support I’ve received this year. My patients are truly the best and I am so thankful for each of you!

I wrote this in hopes that you would get to know my heart and my story better.

Know Your Worth

Whew, this one is a doozy. This year, I’ve been able to find and know my worth in a LOT of ways. Is self-worth something we’re all born with, or does everyone have to work this hard to build it up?!

While I’m still not sure of the answer, I am sure of this:

I am confident in my ability to be a great practitioner, in my ability as the Lord’s daughter, and in my ability as a professional to make meaningful connections in my community.

I know that I am more than capable and completely worthy!

When I first started my business in December of 2022, I saw myself through a microscopic lens. I felt small.

What I realized, however, is that I was the only one who saw myself that way. That version of myself wasn’t real! With coaching, Jesus, and finding myself, I have been able to grow, expand, and Flourish into the business owner I was meant to be.

Do Scary Things

Moving into a bigger space was probably one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, but not for the reasons you might think. Thinking about moving somewhere bigger wasn’t scary because of the cost necessarily, it was scary because my mindset was stuck on being small.

Once again, I didn’t think I was worth GROWTH.

I wasn’t sure I was ready for a new space or commitment, but thanks to faith, it has all worked out the way it’s supposed to. I learned that scary things aren’t so scary when you have faith!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Be a Good Example

Another thing I’ve learned this year is to live by example. I value showing my patients that I do my best to walk the walk after I talk the talk! I not only encourage a healthy lifestyle, but I try to live by it.

I know that taking care of myself, going to church, reading books about mindfulness, working with therapists and coaches, exercising, and eating as healthy as possible helps to lay the foundation of being the best provider for you.

This year has been nothing short of incredible, and I’m so thankful to all those who have been on this journey with me. Here’s to a great second year in business and an incredible 2024 for all!
